I’ve been a children’s author since 2005, when my debut story, Letterbox Lil won the Sheffield Libraries award for best picture book. Since then I’ve collaborated with different illustrators and publishers to write stories for children of all ages, including the much-loved Stripy Horse series and the international picture book hit, The Snow Lion.

As a licensing creative, I’ve worked with many well-established literary brands, including Roald Dahl, MiffyThe Mr Men and Little Miss and Rupert Bear, and I’ve just written a new collection of character stories for Penguin Random House.

Growing up in the west of England, I spent a lot of time exploring the rocky Cornish coast and the damp Dartmoor hills. Now I live in South East London with my wife, the illustrator and designer, Karen Wall, our constantly-surprising daughter, and a rhubarb patch that’s threatening to take over the planet…
